Five Houses Within Our Program
Fostering belonging, mentorship, and healthy competition through our five established houses:
Athena-Eleanor House
The Strategists
"Wisdom in War and Peace"
This house inspires leadership through wisdom, justice, and courage. Here, debuts are guided to stand for what's right, seek truth, and understand the complexities of the world around them. Future lawyers, public servants, and academic freedom fighters—these are our social justice leaders who emphasize accurate academic progress on an individual basis. Ready to be diplomatic but unafraid to fight when necessary, these are our steadfast, strong women and men with skills and abilities they're not afraid to show.
Apollo-Galileo House
The Creators
"Light and Truth"
This house encourages curiosity and creativity, blending the arts and sciences. Debuts in this house are destined to inspire through their discoveries, whether in the realm of imagination or intellect. These are our future philosophers, scientists, mathematicians, and artists—those who lead with their imagination. They may be academically sound, but they are also excited about discovery and new possibilities, even challenging social norms through intelligence. Changing the world with a bright smile!
Diana-Aurelius House
The Builders
"Truth is Ever to be Found"
This house honors those who pursue strength through service, compassion, and diverse paths to success. We celebrate non-traditional forms of education, community-building, and the quiet yet powerful leadership that each debut brings to the table. This house represents those who think differently and understand that there is more than one way to be an educated person. Ready to serve their community in any way they can, these are silent activists through action rather than words.
Atalanta & Wa-Tho-Huk House
The Philosophers of Wholistic Thinking
"Excellence is a Habit"
This house celebrates the balance of physical strength, mental resilience, and community connection. Named for Atalanta, the Greek huntress who outran every challenger, and Jim Thorpe (Wa-Tho-Huk), the legendary multi-sport athlete. Debuts here pursue excellence in athletics, health sciences, psychology, and human development, learning that true strength comes not from individual achievement alone, but through our connections to each other and the world around us.
Herodotus-Douglass House
The Historians
"Ex Historia, Lux"
This house champions those who fight for transparency and respect of human nature and the human condition. Named for Herodotus, the "Father of History" who documented all peoples' stories, and Frederick Douglass, the journalist and orator who risked everything to expose truth and defend human dignity. This house is home to our future writers, journalists, historians, and documentarians. Debuts here learn that their words have power to shine light in dark places, give voice to the silenced, and ensure every person's humanity is seen and respected. They are our truth-keepers and record-makers—the creators of history and what will one day be studied.
United by Shared Values
Though each house has its own focus, they are all connected by the shared values of community, support, and the belief that each debut's path to success is unique and valuable. This is not just about academic achievement—it's about becoming the kind of person who makes an impact in the world.
Each member of our founding cohort will help establish the traditions and culture of their house for generations to come.
We thank you for your support in making this vision a reality, and we look forward to seeing the incredible things your debut will accomplish as part of their house family.
